About Venomline | Pocket American Bully Breeder
The World’s Best Extreme Build Pocket Bullies
From the Pocket Bully Kennel’s Website:
Originally from Houston, Texas, we are now located in sunny South Florida. Formerly known as Texas Size Bullies, we are mostly referred to as Venomline, the name of the bloodline.
We are proud to have in-house and to have produced several ABKC Pocket American Bully Champions. Our dogs have been featured in Rolling Stone Magazine, BULLY KING Magazine, Bully Girl Magazine, in Music Videos and on television (NBC, Barcroft Animals)
Venomline is known for producing some of the thickest dogs in the world, without sacrificing conformation or health. Our dogs are known for having massive heads, dense bone, broad chests, wide shoulders, short muzzles, and being packed rock solid with muscle on short & compact frames.
Origin of the American Bully Breed
The American Bully breed was created around 1990 and gained recognition and establishment in 2004 with the inception of the American Bully Kennel Club, also known as the ABKC Registry.
The United Kennel Club or UKC recognized the American Bully breed in 2013. There are other registries, but for the purposes of this article we will mention the main few- which are the ABKC, BBCR. BRC Global and the UKC.
According to the ABKC- The American Bully breed has been selectively bred to give America’s breed, the American Pit Bull Terrier, a new direction and outlet. Like with the American Staffordshire Terrier (which is also an offshoot of the American Pit Bull Terrier) all of the positive characteristics of the breed’s ancestry were kept. These Include loyalty, stability with humans and children, along with many of their physical attributes. Traits of dog and human aggression have been bred out, as they have no future purpose for this trait (outside of hunting & sport) A reinvented breed was formed, with the purpose of being the ultimate companion breed, and this breed is the “American Bully.”
According to the UKC- The American Bully breed was subtly influenced by the infusion of several other breeds, which include the American Bulldog, English Bulldog, Pacific Bulldog as well as the Olde English Bulldogge among other Bulldog breeds. What differentiates the American Bully breed from it’s ancestors- the American Staffordshire Terrier and the American Pit Bull Terrier (aside from it’s genetic makeup) is the dog’s physical appearance. The American Bully Breed is one of heavier bone structure and “bullier” build than it’s American Pit Bull Terrier and Staffordshire Terrier ancestors, but without many of the health issues prevalent in many of the breed’s Bulldog ancestry.

To many people, it’s the perfect blend, a breed without the game drive of a Pit Bull, yet more active and with less health issues than many of the Bulldog breeds in its makeup. The result: a calm, confident breed of dog with a statuesque build and the muscle of a bodybuilder. Despite the American Bully’s fierce and powerful appearance their demeanor is gentle, making the American Bully an excellent family companion.
The breed is known for having an affinity toward children (they love kids) and a surprising ability to pick up on the emotions of their owners. A breed with a fun and quirky personality, a zest for life and an exuberant will to please their family. They are friendly with strangers, other dogs and most other animals.
Human or dog aggression, extreme shyness or viciousness is very uncharacteristic of the American Bully and is highly undesirable.
ABKC AMERICAN BULLY CLASSES: 2014-PRESENT
This is an amendment to the basic standard which a Pocket Bully is determined by its adult height.
Males under 17″ and no less than 14″ at the withers. Females under 16″ and no less than 13″ at the withers.
STANDARD
The American Bully should give the impression of great strength for it’s size. It is a compact and medium/large size dog with a muscular body and blocky head. The American Bully should have the appearance of heavy bone structure with a bulky build and look.
Males 17 inches — 20 inches (43 cm — 51 cm) at the withers. Females 16 inches — 19 inches (40 cm — 48 cm) at the withers.
CLASSIC
This is an amendment to the basic standard. A Classic Bully is determined by it’s body structure and build. Both sex dogs with lighter body frames and less overall body mass, but still exibiting “bully” traits.
Classic Bully variety is simply an American Bully dog having lighter body frames (lighter bone) and less overall body mass (less substance) than the Standard American Bully. Aside from this difference, the Classic Bully variety follows the same standard as the Standard American Bully.
XL
This is an amendment to the basic standard, determined by it’s adult height. It is important to note that the XL Bully variety is simply taller than the Standard American Bully. XL dogs share the same build, body type and breed type as the Standard American Bully.
Males over 20″-23″ at the withers. Females over 19″-22″ at the withers.
Aren’t They Just Another Kind of “Pit Bull” or Mixed Breed?
No. This is just one of the many misconceptions about the American Bully breed. The American Pit Bull Terrier and the American Bully share lineage but are now recognized as two separate and distinct breeds.
Here are 4 quick facts and some misconceptions about the American Bully Breed.
1. They are NOT pit bulls.
One of the most common misconceptions about the American Bully is that it is simply a type of pit bull, but the truth is that these are two distinct breeds, recognized by several respected registries as such. Some would argue that they are not in fact a recognized breed as they have not been recognized by the AKC. But anyone with knowledge about a breed receiving recognition from the AKC takes several generations before becoming eligible for acceptance within the AKC as well as an application process. This takes many years, and the American Bully Breed is still in the early stages. The American Bully Breed is recognized by it’s founding registry- the American Bully Kennel Club, also referred to as ABKC, and The United Kennel Club also known as the UKC along with a dozen or so smaller registries.
2. The American Bully is one of many breeds that fall under the classification of “bully breeds”

3. The American Bully has 4 Different Classes (some refer to this as sizes) determined by Adult Height
The Classes for the American Bully (as pictured above) are: Pocket, Standard, Classic & XL
4. American Bullies are extremely gentle and great with children
5. American Bullies have untapped potential as service dogs, and can benefit a number of different people with several different types of rehabilitation. The breed has shown incredible results in assisting owners struggling with depression, vets struggling with PTSD, to showing unbelievable results in children with Autism.
Not Your Typical “Dog Breeder”
Venomline Pocket Bullies are different than most kennels in the fact they do not use a traditional “kennel” set up. Their dogs sleep in beds and are a part of the family, they’re not kept locked up in kennels all day. Venomline believes this helps with temperament. The American Bully breed is already an extremely gentle breed, known for being great with children or part of a family. But the pocket bully breeder believes that added socialization and not being kept isolated in kennels or crates makes their disposition that much better.
Venomline prides themselves in producing dogs that have “wow” factor along with great temperament and athleticism despite the heavy muscle/bone they carry. Venomline dogs are DNA & Health Tested, pups come with health certificate, ABKC registration paperwork, shots & de-worming as well as a health guarantee covering any genetic related issues. We ship semen (Stud Service) worldwide. View our World Class Studs. We are also experienced and familiar with the import process and regulations for shipping semen to any country.
Venomline (South Florida) is proud to announce the opening of our 2nd location- Venomline South located in North Carolina.
The Pinnacle of Pedigrees
One thing that separates Pocket Bully bloodline Venomline from many other breeders are the females that are used as part of their breeding program. Any breeder can use a top Stud, but Venomline knows it takes both a Top level Stud and a Top Quality female to produce consistent, quality litters with each breeding pair.
Females are integral to the success of any breeding program. Without using a top quality female to match a Top Stud, litters will more than likely end up being a watered down version of what was initially intended.
Knowing this, Venomline’s focus for the past 7 years has been primarily producing the best Pocket Bully Females to match up with their lineup of Top Tier Studs. Foundation Females that are linebred to produce.
The result can be seen in their productions.
RESERVING A PUPPY
Due to the demand for Venomline’s puppies– most litters are sold out before the puppies are born, but when there are available puppies for sale, they will be listed here under Pups For Sale
To Reserve a puppy off of an upcoming litter, available picks for reservation can be found under Upcoming Litters
SOLD OUT LITTERS
The Pocket bully breeder Accept Deposits on 1st, 2nd & 3rd picks before litters arrive, but some litters may have more than 3 males or females born. When those become available they will be listed HERE
HOW PICKS WORK
Customers with deposits on a “pick” are simply those who have left a deposit to secure a pick (1st, 2nd, 3rd etc.)
When pups turn 7 weeks and it’s time for picks are made, we call up our Customers with reservations and they get to choose their puppy. Picks are made in order. Ex.1st pick Male would be up first to make their selection. Next up would be 2nd pick, then 3rd… and on down the list. Then the Females would be chosen in order of pick reserved.
Occasionally, we have puppies that are Available for Sale in the rare occasion a litter didn’t sell out, or a puppy that becomes back Available due to buyer’s finances or other reasons through no fault of the puppy. When these puppies are Available For Sale they will be listed for sale HERE
